The Refuge de Chésery is situated on a classic stage of the Savoyard portion of the GR 5. Halfway between the Léman and the massif of Mont Blanc, the refuge proposes an alternative maid between the stages of the Chapel of Abundance to Samoëns. More info on the Move your Alps website:
GR5 is a GR footpath that starts in the Netherlands, crosses Belgium and Luxembourg before crossing France from north to south. It is part of the European walking route E2.

For the GR5 hikers, it takes about 5h40 from Trebentaz, about 7h00 from Chapelle d'Abondance. In the opposite direction, it takes about 7h00 from Bostan/Chardonnière.
